Blackberry Recipes
When I was a child I walked in the hills with my grandfather, in late summer and autumn I pick wild blackberries with him - I think I ate as many as I put in the can. It was safe then to eat many of them straight from the stalk, there were fewer cars and less poison in the air near any roads.
The discussions started when we got home with out haul, my grandmother wanted them all to bake with, my grandfather wanted to make blackberry wine - they always ended up splitting them and I ate some delicious Blackberry Recipes made by my grandmother, and occasionally I sipped the Blackberry Wine - though that was not so much to my young taste.
It would be nice to think that the blackberry recipes contained on this site were all from my grandmother, but alas no - they have been collected from various places as I have trundled down through my life from those carefree days wandering the hills. Anywhere that I know where the recipe have come from I have attributed otherwise they are from the Gods - please enjoy.
